ANXA1은 인지질(phospholipid)에 결합하는 막(membrane) 국재 단백질을 암호화한다. 이 단백질은 포스포리파아제 A2(phospholipase A2)를 억제하며 항염증(anti-inflammatory) 활성을 가진다. ANXA1의 기능 상실 또는 발현 소실은 여러 종양에서 검출된 바 있다.
