유전자 개요
ALK는 인슐린 수용체(insulin receptor) 슈퍼패밀리(superfamily)에 속하는 수용체 티로신 키나아제(receptor tyrosine kinase)를 암호화하며, 세포외 도메인과 단일 통과 막관통 영역에 해당하는 소수성 구간, 그리고 세포내 키나아제 도메인으로 구성된다. 이 단백질은 뇌 발달과 신경계의 특정 뉴런에 중요한 역할을 한다. ALK는 역형성 대세포 림프종, 신경아세포종(neuroblastoma), 비소세포 폐암을 포함한 여러 종양에서 재배열·돌연변이·증폭이 관찰되며, 그중 염색체 재배열이 가장 흔한 유전적 변화로 종양 발생 과정에서 EML4 등과의 다양한 융합 유전자를 형성한다.
