유전자 개요

ALCAM(activated leukocyte cell adhesion molecule)은 CD166으로도 불리며, 세포외 도메인에 다섯 개의 면역글로불린(immunoglobulin) 유사 도메인(VVC2C2C2)을 갖춘 면역글로불린 수용체 서브패밀리(subfamily)의 구성원이다. 이 단백질은 T세포 분화 항원 CD6에 결합하며 세포 접착과 이동 과정에 관여하는 것으로 알려져 있다. 서로 다른 아이소폼(isoform)을 암호화하는 여러 선택적 스플라이싱(alternative splicing) 전사체 변이가 확인되었다.
