유전자 개요
이 유전자는 핵체를 형성하고 전사 보조활성인자 CREB 결합 단백질과 상호작용하는 전사 조절인자를 암호화합니다. 암호화된 단백질은 흉선에서 자가항원의 발현과 자가반응성 T세포의 음성 선택을 조절함으로써 면역에서 중요한 역할을 합니다. 이 유전자의 돌연변이는 자가면역 다내분비병증-칸디다증-외배엽 이영양증(autoimmune polyendocrinopathy with candidiasis and ectodermal dystrophy, APECED)이라고 불리는 드문 상염색체 열성 전신 자가면역 질환을 유발합니다.
